It was thought that by extending the scope of the Reviers in this direction, the Magazine would be mademoro generally useful.
The Review department receives epocial attenean, and endeavours are made to prenant a careful and sonsiso record of Literature on China ate, and to give critiques embodying sketches of the Most recent works on such topics.
