The tensile strain is high and the coment has already been oxtantively used in Haiphong for floore, concrete, bricka, pilasters, etc., and is giving every satisfac tion, but as yet it has been only turned out in a very small quantity owing to lack of manhinery, nor in auch good quality as
as it is possible to make it, although during the fast year improvements have taken place in the cement both in colour, tengile strongth, and weight. With good machin- ery, proper and continuous supervision, I am convinced you will be able to turn out a very superior hydraulie cement, equal in every reaport to the bust Portland, and with the very great advartages you of good and easy transport, cheap labour, the close proximity of a good supply of coal, limestone & ply of water you and a plentiful amp- ought to Lun it out at an execptionally low rate.
