THE Shanghai Daily News learns that our Hongkong containporaries were somewhat misinformed as to the action of Captain Manbauge of the Calédonies in the recent attair on board that veas. All Captain Maubeuge aaked was that the warrant should be backed by the French Consul; or the captain of a French mos-of-war, as, for his own protection, he did not consider the signature of the chancelier of the Franch Conauts sufficiant. This can hardly be accepted as a satisfactory explanation of the incident.
