ANNUAL SUPPLY
We are informed by Mosers Adamson, Bell & Co. that the steamship Parthia, which left Hongkong on the 16th March, and Yo- kohama on the 27th March, arrived at Van- cover on the 11th April. Her cargo of
wilk was delivered in New York on the 20th April, just nine days after landing at Van=" couver, and 23 days from Yekchans.
The Sikh policemen who pulled in the tug- of-war on Monday with the Gen Lascare repudiato the charge brought against them by the latter. They say their officers would not allow them to sit down and that any sitting down that did occur as more on the part of the Lascare than on their part.
JUST RECEIVED Thoy therefore naturally refuse to pull again, the Judges having awarded them the prize after what was considered a fair contact. All we can do is to advise our Gun Lascar friends to keep their Samsons and Goliahs in training till next sporting season camas round and make sure of vic- tory then.
