THE recent case of double murder in Hongkong rings before the public a peculiar phase of native customs. It is believed that the woman and man wete murdered by villagers because the opa was unfaithful to her husband, and the other to his wife: In other words they had been guilty of illicit intercourse. The villagera apparently gave them a rough triel and then lynched them.
