ABRIDGED PROSPECTUS. THE Company has been formed for the THE
purpose of conetrheting, oquipping, and working a series of Low Lavel Steau Tramways in the City of Victoria, Houg koog Two Special Ordinancos (Nos. and 18 of 1883) have been passed by the Legislative Council and the Government authorizing the construction and working of the same.
Victoria is very favourably, adapted for Tramways, owing to its configuration, the casy gradients of its principal street, (the nain thoroughfare from the East to the West ands, along which the Tramways will bo laid), and the immense inerrant traffic.
The Trare ways will be constructed in the best and most substantial rauner, and with all the latest improvements, with stools girder raile, bedded in concrete, but no wood or other perishable material will be used.
The Tramways are intended to be worked by Steam Traction, auch being much more! economical, trustworthy, and under aro offoetal coatrol, having more power, of overcoming gradients, and giving better re sults (pecuniary and otherwice) thau börsą, compressed air, electricity or other motive power.
