Much trouble and disap pointment are caused by persistent attempta to send small valuable trifles through the Post Fans, Curios, Articles of Dress, Fancy Work, and similar presents arsi con- tinually heing refused, the sendors having often spent more in Postage than would have paid to freight by steamer. No refund can be made on such parvuls of the value of Stamps obliterated before the nature of the contents was discovered.
