Shipping Orders will be granted until Noon of 28th May, 1884.

Cargo will be received on board until 4 p.m., Spesie and Parcols until 8 p.m. on the 28th May, 1884. (Parcels are not to ho sent on hoard; they must be left at the Agency's Office.)

In the following Statements and Tablon the Rates are given in cents, and are, for Lattera per luilf ounce, for Bricks and Patterns, per two ounces.

It is necessary that the following rules be strictly observed.

1. No Letter or Packet, whether to be registered or unregistered, can be received for Postage if it contains gold or silver manoy, jewela, precious articles, or any. thing that, as a general rule, in liable to Customs duties..

2. This Regulation prohibits the sending of Patterns of dutiablu articles, unless the quantity sent be so staall as to make the sample of no valuo.

3. The limits of weight allowed as a foilowe :-

Books and Papers-to British Officer 5 lb. to the Continont, &, 4 lbs. Patterns-to British Offera, fills, if with, out intrinsic value; to the Continent St., & ng.

Indemnity for the Loss of a Tegistered Article. The Post Office is not legally responsible for the safe delivery of Registered correspon- denco, but it is prepared to make good the contents of such correspondence lost while passing through the Post, to the extent of | 819, in certaiŭ casus, provided :—

1. That the zonder duly observed all the conditions of Registration required.

2. That tho lotter was seenroly enclosed

in a reasonably strong envelope.
