The China Review for July and August, 1875, is at hand. It says that forty-two essays wore sont in to compote for the best paper on the advantages of Christianity for the development of a State. All our learn- el socletics abould subscribe to this scholarly and enterprising Review.
It is a sixty paged, bimonthly, repertory of what sel lars are atcertaining about China. The lecture on Chinese Poetry in this role is alers worth the price of the levies. Ad- dress China Review, Hongkong. Northern Christion Advocate (U.S.)
