THE SHANGHAI CENSUS, The Municipal Census, to judge from the published details, is more meagre in information than that of ten years ago. In 1870, the cobade, besides giving the number and nationality of the foreign inhabitants of Shanghai, gave their occupations, and those would form an interesting comparison now, Iation of the Settlements North of the Yang King Pang has increased from 1666 in 1870 and 1673 in 1876 to 2197 in 1880.
