We have received a most important del ment from Colonel Gordon, relating to the organization of the Chinese army, for with we shall find a place in to-morrow's fiss. The document was laid before the high Authorities, and in itself shows the great interest which the gallant Colonel has taken

in China's welfare.

The Clairman said that with the per- mission of those present they would take the report as read. It was a matter of much regret to the Directors that on this occasion they had a less favourable report to submit to the shareholders than usual. It was unnecessary that be should detail the difficulties that had been met with in bringing to a conclu- sion the purchase of the property at Band's slip; there had been great delay occasioning an exceeding amount of THE Glencoe, Capt.
