As we anticipated, Miss Florence Howe did not fail to please the audience with her singing and finished Boting. If we mistake, not this artists will prove a great favourite by Shang- hal, to which place the Company shortly prooved. Her singing on Saturday evening was scarcely up to its usual standard, Miss B. Draeger made a very good "Twinkle Flo", and more may be said of Mr J. Rollings as one of the "En. sincera" Mr Rollings, In fact, obtained an encore in one portion of his performance. The other characters, especially that taken by Mr Hageman, were all pretty well played. Miss Agnes Draeger again presided at the plano with her customary ability. We would suggest, however, either that the top be kept on the instrument, or that it be played siltilo softer, on the plano bolag out in the theatre and the vocalists Occasionally far back on the stage, their singing is now and then almost drowned by the piano.
