BREACH OF CONDITIONAL PARDON,
Regina v. Ng Akow. The prisoner pleaded guilty to a breach of his conditional pardon. He was non tenced to two years' hard labour on the 18th January 1875, and was pardoned on the 19th September 1876, on condition of his not returning to the Colony. He was, however, caught here on the 29th Decem- ber last,

Poon Sing Low v. Tong Kan Hing and Ow King Chuen, $598.77. This was a claim for money lent to the defendants through one Cho Bok Chow in the month of October 1874 at 14 per cent, Interest per month; $150 had been repaid, leaving the balance now sued for.
Mr Ng Choy appeared for the plaintiff. The defence was a total denial of the debt and all knowledge of the plaintiff as well as his witness.
Aftar hearing the case at great length his Lordship gave judgment for the plaintiff with costs, and said the growest perjury had been committed by the de- fendants, whom he committed to gaol for 14 days' with hard labour each.
