A FREE FIGHT.

Chung Sing and 4 others were brought up for belog concerned in a fight between some Chinchew boatmen and some Punti junkmen. It appeared that the Bip Sing Bong had a cargo of sugar aoming in a junk, and as the cargo boatmen were in the way, they wore asked to get out of the way. This they refused, and a quarrel ensued. The Hip Sing shop, it appeared, bad been attacked and damaged by stones being thrown into it. The defendants were re- manded. la connection with this case 20 other men were taken into custody and were also remanded with the exception of the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 18th, 16th, 18th and 20th defendants, who were dis obarged.
