THE above Steamer was Built in Glas- gow in 1872 by Memrs DOBBIE & "Co., under special survey of LaoYDS', and Hor MACHINERY AND BOILER were made by 'Meara JAMES HOWDEN & Co, ander special inspection. She was con- structed to carry a large Cargo on a light draft of water and is well adapted for tho Philippine, China, or Japan trade. She underwent general Repairs in 1975, when New SAILS, RIGGING, and a complete outfit were supplied by the BoxGRONG AND WHAMPOA DUCK COMPANY, and in March of the present year her Engines-and Boller were thoroughly overhauled.
