This kind of vessel, which is very common in China, is destined for the bay fishery.

The imports of gold and silver during the first fortnight of 1877 are:-Gold coins, $37,612; silver ooing, $24,500; silver bar, $51,877.

The Captain of the brig Fernanda arrived at Manila on the 21st January and reported the loss of his vessel in Luban, near Min- doro, on the 13th December last, No lives lost.
