Some trouble was expe rienced at starting, but at length they got off in pretty good order, Coronet having the lead, followed by Teenkwang and Black Satin. Passing the village there was at least two lengths between each, so that Scampy who was last, was say eight lenghthe behind the leader. Coming into the Straight the first time they were still in this position, but here Scamp began to press forward.
