"The Viceroy received a communication on the 20th August last from the British Consul, Mr Robertson, to the effect that bo has been addressed by the British mer chants at Cantou with referencs to the great loss and detriment to their trade caused by the inferior qualities of the Tear by the Teamen, notwithstanding their con- supplied tracts to deliver Teas according to muster.
