Then Chun Hung Kai gavo back two Promissory Notes and detained the other two, and released Chew Ping Ming from custody, Chew Ping Ming mades petition to the Mandarin to get redress. Thereupon Chun Hung Kai and Ya Cheong were arrested, and the matter tried before the Mandarin. The case of kidnapping and extortion was clear ly proved, so the said. Y Cheong's house and property were seized, and Chun Hang Rai purd that the said Chuu Hung Kai is quatody, Now having been informed
