The British ship Ellen, from San Fran cisco, reports the rat part of passage had fine weather and light winde until lat. 19.44 N. long. 172 37 W. when had cyclorie gales from S. W. and heavy oroas sea, which lasted for 36 hours; bore away to S. E. and ran to lat. 19.30.8, then trades down to lat. 19.11 N. long. 136.5 E. after which cyclone gales had N.E. trades; then had and beavy cross sea which lasted for 48 hours; the barometer down to 29,32 and blowing very hard with heavy tea till off Volcaun Island in lat. 29.40 N. long. 146. E.; then bad light wind from E.N.E. srrival.

M, steamer Himalaya, reports, that having been informed by the Leven of the loss of the Ghat, she put into Manila to fetch the crew who ought to have arrived there on 15th; but as they did not appear. by evening of the 18th ate came on here.
