Chine and Japan" are so well known. From the names attached to the "Notes" we can see that the contributors include some of $110 best Chinese scholars in the East. Its in- terest is not confined to China, and it will be of valuable assistance to all scholars, who have directed their attention towards the subject of Buddhism and its literature, and generally to all who are interested in ori- ental antiquities. It deserves to be better. known in India.
