We have already inserted a letter which was addressed to our contemporary by Remedios & Co." accompanied by some remarks which might have implied a lingering doubt as to the bone fides of the contradiction therein given to the statement that they were agents of coolie convinced us that though Remedisa ships. Strict enquiry has, however, & Co" have applied to printers in Hongkong to print coolie contracts; nominally in their own hebulf, and that although the representative of that firm is son of a well known coolie dealer at Macao, and nephew of the head of the firm yet to be described, they have never. shipped a cargo of cooltes.
