Shipping Reports.
The North German barque Formia, from Hamburg, reports on leaving port had bad aqually weather. Crossed the Equator on 13th May, in long. 29 W. Passed the meridian of the Cape of Good Hops on 15th June,
in lat. S passed Amsterlan Island on 1st July; orado. St. Paul's Island on the

Jat 12 N. long, 111 E. had heavy lightning from E.SE. to N: W. The wind then went round from SW, to N, W, and it commened blowing heavily from N.N.W tacked to for 32 hours natil wind cawe round to S. W.; then set sails and kept to the N.; wind came more to the North with honty zos; then bad fine weather and light winda until arrival in Hongkong on 11th August 128 days out. On 2d ful", in Straits of Sande spoke the British barq Laputa from London also the Brem, barvive Wilhelm.
The North German barque Caroline, kit this port for Falmouth on 4th instant, and put back on Oth on necount of had weathers On the 6th inst, when ia lat. 18.30 N. long. 111, it commenced blowing a heavy gale from N., with very heavy cross se the wind rounded to N. W., S. and B. W. on 6th inat., at 2A.M, the gale increased, the ship was laid on her beats ends and had to cut away the main and mizen masts to Bare the ship; on same day at daylight found the slip close to the coast of Hait Han; made much sail to bring the ships t the coast and thou proceeded to Hongkong.
