TTENTELN--On the evening of the 2nd May the high authorities informed the Cau suls officially that the rebels had left the Tientsin district and gone in the direction of Teangchow. Since then we have neither heard or seen anything of rebels around Tientsin. The rampart gates are, however still carefully guarded by soldiers ss when the rebels were in our neighbourhood. Numbers of dead bodies were seen by some of the residents yesterday floating down with the ebb tide, having, we understood, come down the grand canal.
