INTERPRETATION (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1963
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to amend the Interpretation Ordinance, Chapter 1."
THE COLONIAL SECRETARY seconded.
The question was put and agreed to.
The Bill was read a Second time.
Council then went into Committee to consider the Bill clause by clause. Clauses 1 to 3 were agreed to.
Council then resumed.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL reported that the Interpretation (Amendment) Bill, 1963 had passed through Committee without amendment and moved the Third reading.
THE COLONIAL SECRETARY seconded.
The question was put and agreed to.
The Bill was read a Third time and passed into law.
COMPANIES (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1963
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance further to amend the Companies Ordinance, Chapter 32."
THE COLONIAL SECRETARY seconded.
The question was put and agreed to.
The Bill was read a Second time.
Council then went into Committee to consider the Bill clause by clause. Clauses 1 to 7 were agreed to.
Clause 8.
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL: —Sir, I rise to move that clause 8 be amended as set forth in the paper before honourable Members.

8 In subsection (4) of the new section 137A, leave out the word "refusal" and substitute therefor the following—
"fact".
Clause 8, as amended, was agreed to.
Clause 9 was agreed to.
