RESETTLEMENT (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1960.
MR. H. W. FORSYTH: —Your Honour, I rise to move that the two Bills standing in my name as Items 3 and 4 on the Order Paper before honourable Members, be withdrawn.
Sir, it will be recalled that after the First reading of the Demolished Buildings (Re-development of Sites) Bill certain honourable Members expressed strong views on some of its aspects. This led to consultations first with those Members and later between their representative, the Honourable C. Y. KWAN, and the Attorney General.
As a result I am now pleased to report that a new Bill has been drafted which I am advised will meet the various points raised when it comes before honourable Members in due course.
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL seconded.
