The Minutes of the meeting of the Council held on 25th June, 1958, were confirmed.

I would like to take this opportunity, gentlemen, of welcoming back in our midst the Honourable Dhun Ruttonjee.

CHARITIES (LAND ACQUISITION) BILL, 1958.
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to amend the law relating to the acquisition and holding of land by charities and to make provision for purposes connected therewith."
THE COLONIAL SECRETARY seconded.
The question was put and agreed to.
The Bill was read a Second time.
Council then went into Committee to consider the Bill clause by clause. Clauses 1 to 10 and the First and Second Schedules were agreed to. Council then resumed.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL reported that the Charities (Land Acquisition) Bill, 1958 had passed through Committee without amendment and moved the Third reading.
THE COLONIAL SECRETARY seconded.
The question was put and agreed to.
The Bill was read a Third time and passed.
REGISTERED TRUSTEES INCORPORATION BILL, 1958.
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to facilitate the incorporation of trustees appointed by certain bodies, associations and communities of persons and to make provision for purposes connected therewith."
THE COLONIAL SECRETARY seconded.
The question was put and agreed to.
The Bill was read a Second time.
Council then went into Committee to consider the Bill clause by clause. Clauses 1 to 15 and the First and Second Schedules were agreed to. Council then resumed.
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL reported that the Registered Trustees Incorporation Bill, 1958 had passed through Committee without amendment and moved the Third reading.
THE COLONIAL SECRETARY seconded.
The question was put and agreed to.
The Bill was read a Third time and passed.
COMPANIES (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1958.
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to amend the Companies Ordinance, Chapter 32".
