Order made by the Controller of Trade under regulation 50 of the Defence Regulations, 1939, with the consent of the Officer Administering the Government, prohibiting the export, except by licence, of rice, dated 19th June, 1940.
Amendments made by the Governor in Council under section 7 (2) (a) of the Telecommunication Ordinance, 1936, Ordinance No. 18 of 1936, dated 14th June, 1940.
Order made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Importation and Exportation Ordinance, 1915, Ordinance No. 32 of 1915, prohibiting the importation, except by licence, of certain merchandise from Macao, dated 14th June, 1940.
Amendments made by the Governor in Council under section 16 of the Essential Commodities Reserve Ordinance, 1939, Ordinance No. 38 of 1939, to the Essential Commodities Reserves Regulations, 1939, dated 19th June, 1940.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL reported that the Immigration and Passports Amendment Bill had passed through Committee without amendment, and moved the third reading.

MOTION.
THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS moved: Resolved that the approval of the Governor in Council of permission to the Hong Kong Tramways, Limited, to construct one additional crossover track in King's Road, to connect the east-bound with the west-bound tramway track between Quarry Bay Marine Lot No. 4 and Quarry Bay Inland Lot No. 4, as shown in Enclosure (104)2 in C.S.O. 9365/04, be confirmed.
He said: Sir,―At your instruction I rise to move the resolution standing in my name. The resolution is made necessary because of a proposal by the Hong Kong Tramways, Ltd. to construct an additional crossover track in King's Road.
Under Section 7 of the Tramway Ordinance, No. 10 of 1902, the approval of this Council is required for this additional crossover, and previous notification is also required to be given in the public press by the Company stating that it is their intention to apply for such approval.
This public advertisement has been duly given.
The proposed crossover will connect the east-bound with the west-bound tramway track between Quarry Bay Marine Lot No. 4 and Quarry Bay Inland Lot No. 4.
There is no objection from the Traffic point of view nor from the Public Works Department.
