The Council met today pursuant to adjournment.
The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
The Jury List for the year commencing on the 1st March 1857 was laid on the table and revised, 49 of the persons therein named being designated as special persons. Ordered, that the persons' list, as revised be published in the next Government Gazette.
The Ordinance for amending the Ordinances No. 5 and 7 of 1856 as also the Fees and Costs Ordinance No. 14 of 1856, bearing the title of "An Ordinance for amending the Ordinances therein mentioned," was laid on the table for the 2nd reading, discussed, and amended. It was then Resolved that this Enactment, as amended, should be published in the next Government Gazette for general information, and that the 2nd reading of it should be deferred till Thursday the 5th Proximo, at one o'clock.
The Council adjourned accordingly.
