The Council met to day pursuant to adjournment.
The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
Read a second time, and passed, the Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance to continue in "operation Ordinance No. 1 of 1855 'to enforce Neutrality during the contest now existing "in China'," being No. 1 of 1856, which was ordered to be printed and published in the next Government Gazette.
A Draft Ordinance to amend the Law regarding Bills of Lading was then read a first time, and ordered to be printed, and the Council adjourned till Saturday the 12th instant, at one o'clock precisely.
