The Council met today by Special Summons.
The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
The Governor laid on the Table the Revised Estimates of the Colony for 1856, and after some discussion, it being understood that each Member of the Council should be at liberty to make such observations thereon as he might deem relevant for transmission to the Queen's Government by the ensuing mail, the same were generally approved; and in accordance with the unanimous opinion of the Council, His Excellency was requested to order their publication in the Government Gazette.
Resolved, that this Council do adjourn till Tuesday the 25th instant at 1 P.M. precisely, to consider a Draft Ordinance respecting the Storage of Gunpowder.
