The Council met today by Special Summons.
The Honorable the Attorney General was present as legal adviser to the Government.
The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
The Governor laid on the Table the "Regulations for the Government of the Gaol at Hongkong," revised at the last meeting, and the same were assented to and passed.
Read the 2nd time and passed the Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance for the Regulation of the Gaol of Hongkong," being No. 1 of 1853, which was ordered to be printed and published in the Government Gazette.
