Present:

The Honorable The Colonial Treasurer,
The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
The Acting Chief Justice proposed and laid before the Council a Draft ordinance, entitled "An ordinance to provide for the issue of the Writ of Capias at respondendum during "the illness or temporary absence of the Chief Justice or Acting Chief Justice of the "said Colony," which was read a first time and ordered to be published in the Government Gazette for general information.
In accordance with the resolution passed at a meeting of the Council held on the 6th Instant, the Honorable Mr. Mercer laid on the Table the proposed Draft of the Seaman's ordinance, and it was Resolved that it be remodelled and sent round to members.
