The Council met today by special summons.

The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.

Read the 2nd time and passed, the ordinance entitled "An ordinance to repeal the "ordinances No. 7 of 1845 entitled 'An ordinance for the Regulation of Jurors and "'Juries' and No. 4 of 1849 passed for the amendment thereof, and to consolidate and "amend the Enactments relating to Jurors and Juries", being No. 4 of 1857, which was ordered to be printed and published in the Government Gazette.

The Honorable The Chief Justice has not been present at Council owing to indisposition since the 10th of June last; but he has, from time to time, been consulted on the provision of this ordinance.
