ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I would like to place on record my sincere appreciation to the staff at all levels for their invaluable help in dealing with the many problems large and small which the Department had to face in the year under review, In spite of the fact that they often had to work under much pressure and difficult circumstances, all carried out their duties efficiently and effectively, and with true devotion and dedication. I am most grateful to them all for their unfailing support throughout the year.
The Department received every assistance and co-operation from other Government departments, voluntary agencies, the press, the radio and television networks.
I also wish to place on record my thanks to the many public spirited persons who have devoted so much of their time in order to serve on statutory boards, advisory committees, working parties, and in voluntary agencies dealing with the many aspects of medical and health services in Bong Kong.
Finally, I acknowledge with thanks the contributions of private individuals, and local and overseas organisations who have assisted the Department in providing facilities for those in need of medical care.
