Unfortunately there is for the present no available record as to where this marvellous clock went subsequently. It may have been sold locally, or to a wealthy Chinese mandarin; perhaps some reader might know of the clock's present whereabouts.
Falconer's moved from Queen's Road (their second location) some years ago, taking up the present premises in Union Building, which was erected in the early part of this century on the reclaimed Praya Central. In the removal, as with so many other old firms, unwanted records appear to have been destroyed, so that no trace remains of the clock imported sixty-two years ago. It is possible, however, that someone who reads this will know what became of it: any such information will be welcomed.
