I see no reason to interfere with the temporary prohibition of his residence in Hongkong.
Mr. Davitt. I wish to ask the right honourable gentleman whether he is aware that no opportunity has been given to Sun Yat-sen to meet the charges made against him.
Mr. Chamberlain. I cannot answer that question without notice; but I think I have seen in the papers that this gentleman is now leading the rebels in China (Laughter).
Mr. Davitt. - I hope he will be successful.
Mr. Chamberlain. If that be true, it will confirm the opinion of the Government of Hongkong.
