ESSENTIAL SERVICES (AUXILIARY MEDICAL SERVICES) CORPS REGULATIONS.

(Cap. 197, section 7).

[22nd December, 1950.]

1. These regulations may be cited as the Essential Services (Auxiliary Medical Services) Corps Regulations and shall be read as one with the Essential Services Corps (General) Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the principal regulations.

2. There is hereby established as a unit of the Corps an Auxiliary Medical Service Unit and the Director of Medical and Health Services shall be the Unit Controller thereof.

3. The principal regulations shall apply to the Auxiliary Medical Service Unit with the following modifications-

(a) the powers and duties vested in and to be discharged by the Commissioner under the principal regulations shall so far as concerns the Auxiliary Medical Service Unit be exercised and discharged by the Unit Controller:

Provided that for the purpose of giving effect to this paragraph-

(i) regulation 15 of the principal regulations shall be read as if the words "on the recommendation of the Commissioner" had been deleted; and

(ii) paragraph (1) of regulation 16 of the principal regulations shall be read as if the words "on the recommendation of the appropriate Unit or Sub-Unit Controller" had been deleted.
