An Ordinance to authorize the making of by-laws by the Star Ferry company.
[19th December, 1902.]
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Star Ferry Company Ordinance, 1902.
2. The Star Ferry Company Limited shall have power to make by-laws for regulating the conditions under which persons may travel in or upon any launch or vessel belonging to them and for the prevention of frauds on the said company.
3. Any such by-laws shall be submitted for approval to the Governor in Council and shall be published in the Gazette within two weeks after the approval thereof.
4. Any such by-laws may impose fines for offences against the same not exceeding twenty-five dollars for the first offence and not exceeding fifty dollars for any subsequent offence.
5. A copy of every by-law clearly printed in English and Chinese in large type shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the company's business premises and on each of the company's wharves and in each launch or other vessel of the company employed in the carriage of passengers.
