(2) For the purposes of this section, "part of His Majesty's dominions outside the United Kingdom" shall be deemed to include any territory which is under His Majesty's protection, or in respect of which a mandate is being exercised by the Government of any part of His Majesty's dominions.

An Ordinance to confer on the Governor in Council power to make regulations on occasions of emergency or public danger.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Emergency Regulations Ordinance, 1922.

2.-(1) On any occasion which the Governor in Council may consider to be an occasion of emergency or public danger, he may make any regulations whatsoever which he may consider desirable in the public interest.

(2) Without prejudice to the generality of the provisions of sub-section (1), such regulations may be made with regard to any matters coming within the classes of subjects hereinafter enumerated, that is to say:

(a) censorship, and the control and suppression of publications, writings, maps, plans, photographs, communications, and means of communication;

(b) arrest, detention, exclusion, and deportation;
