licence shall remain in force for one year, and for which the sum of five dollars shall be annually paid to the Registrar General, who shall account therefor to the Colonial Treasurer.
6. Any Chinese who-
(1.) carries on the business of or acts as a money-changer in this Colony without having obtained such a licence or after the expiration of the same; or
(2.) violates any of the conditions contained in the said licence,
shall, on conviction thereof before a Magistrate, be liable to a penalty not exceeding twenty-five dollars and, in default of payment, to imprisonment, with or without hard labour, under and in accordance with the provisions of any Ordinance for the time being in force relating to Magistrates and the practice and procedure before them in respect of offences punishable on summary conviction. See Ordinance No. 3 of 1890.

E it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-----

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Suppression of Piracy Ordinance, 1868.
2. Every person who--
(1.) knowingly sets forth any pirate; or
(2.) aids, assists, maintains, procures, commands, counsels, or advises any person whomsoever to do or commit any piracy,
shall be guilty of felony, and, being convicted thereof, shall be liable, at the discretion of the Court, to imprisonment with hard labour for any term not exceeding fifteen years and not less than five years or to imprisonment for any term not exceeding two years, with or without hard labour.
