PART I,
GENERAL.
1.
These regulations may be cited as the Midwives (Registration and Disciplinary Procedure) Regulations.
2. In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires-
"Committee" means the Preliminary Investigation Committee referred to in regulation 11;
"pupil midwife" means a woman whose name is registered with the Board under regulation 8;
"defendant" means the woman to be charged before a disciplinary inquiry held in accordance with these regulations;
"register of the Nursing Board" means the register of nurses maintained by the Nursing Board of Hong Kong under the Nurses Registration Ordinance;
"training school" means an establishment declared to be a training school for midwives in accordance with regulation 7.
PART II.
REGISTRATION AND PRACTICE,
3. The register shall contain in respect of each midwife whose name is registered therein the particulars specified in the First Schedule.
4. (1) Subject to the provisions of paragraph (2), every application for registration as a midwife shall be submitted in writing to the secretary and shall-
(a) contain the following particulars---
(i) name;
(ii) age;
(iii) address;
(iv) whether married or single;
(v) hospital or training school where trained;
(vi) particulars of training and practice, if any; and
(vii) dates of previous applications to the Board, if any; and
