(b) Where the survey of a ship is carried out by a surveyor specially appointed by the Secretary for Economic Services under section 5 of the Merchant Shipping (Safety) Ordinance (Cap.369)—
an initial survey
a periodical survey

1 1/4 times the difference between the standard fees for an initial survey and a periodical survey in sub-item (a) of this item.
1 1/4 times the standard periodical inspection fee in sub-item (a) of this item.
Note: The fee prescribed in this sub-item is in addition to the fee payable for the service to the specially appointed surveyor or his employer.
(c) Where a periodical inspection is not completed in one visit
Where the ship- does not exceed 100 tons exceeds 100 tons but does not exceed 200 tons the standard periodical inspection fee in sub-item (a) of this item plus, for each additional visit- 650 780 exceeds 200 tons but does not exceed 300 tons 1,300 1,560 exceeds 300 tons but does not exceed 500 tons 2,600 3,120 exceeds 500 tons 3,240 3,890Note: For the purpose of this sub-item "additional visit” means a visit attributable to the inability or failure of the owner to have the ship available for inspection or to keep it so available after the commencement of the inspection.
(d) Where the survey or inspection of a ship is carried out concurrently with a survey for a passenger certificate, a safety certificate or a passenger certificate combined with a safety certificate-

(e) For the survey of a ship in respect of which a load line certificate or load line exemption certificate is in force, where alterations have been made to the ship which involve the assignment of new freeboards but are not such as to necessitate a complete survey of the ship for that purpose
the standard periodical inspection fee in sub-item (a) of this item.
(f) For the consideration of stability information to determine compliance with the stability requirements in Schedules 4 and 7 of the Merchant Shipping (Load Line) Rules 1968 (S.I.1968/1053 U.K.) as extended to Hong Kong by the Merchant Shipping (Safety) Ordinance (Cap.369).....
a fee determined by the time involved, charged at the hourly rate.
