QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PERMITTED TEACHER WHO IS
PERMITTED TO TEACH ENGLISH
The qualifications specified in paragraph (1) or (2) of Part II and-
(1) Grade E or higher grade in English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of
Education (English) Examination;
(2) a pass in English Language in the Hong Kong English School Certificate, the Hong Kong Chinese School Certificate, or the Hong Kong School Certificate; or
(3) a knowledge of English of a standard which in the opinion of the Director is
equivalent to Grade E in English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education (English).
