45. If the Court of Appeal makes no special order and gives no special directions under this rule-
(a) the recognizances of the appellant may be taken before a justice of the peace or an officer acting with the authority of the Commissioner of Correctional Services; and
(b) the recognizances of his sureties may be taken before the Registrar or justice of the peace.
46. The Registrar shall notify, to the appellant and to the Commissioner of Correctional Services, the terms and conditions on which the court will admit the appellant to bail.
47. (1) The Registrar, and any justice of the peace, may require the assistance of the police for the purpose of making inquiry as to the sufficiency or otherwise of any person offering himself as a surety on behalf of an appellant who has been granted bail.
(2) It shall be the duty of the police to give such assistance to, and as and when required by, the Registrar or a justice of the peace under this rule.
