16. In all cases in which, by any law in force within

Puisne Judge

the Colony, any judicial or other act is directed

authorized to be performed by the Chief Justice, such act may be performed by any other judge, and if so performed, shall, subject to the provisions of section 28, be as valid to all intents and purposes as if the same had been performed by the Chief Justice.
