An Ordinance to consolidate and amend the laws relating
to criminal procedure in the Supreme Court.
[7th July, 1899.]
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Criminal Procedure Ordinance, 1899.
2. In this Ordinance,
(a) "The bailiff" means the bailiff of the court and includes any deputy of the bailiff.
(b) "The court" means the Supreme Court acting in the exercise of its criminal jurisdiction.
(c) "Indictment" includes any criminal information triable by a jury.
(d) "Property" includes goods, chattels, money, valuable securities, and every other matter or thing, whether real or personal, upon or with reference to which any offence may be committed.
(e)
"The Registrar" means the Registrar of the court.
