Short title.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Vaccination Ordinance, 1890.

2. In this Ordinance and in any rules and regulations made there-

5. The Governor-in-Council shall have power from time to time to make, alter, amend, or cancel rules and regulations for the purposes

this Ordinance in respect of the matters hereinafter mentioned, but such × GG 3.10.

rules and regulations and any alteration, amendment, or cancellation thereof shall have no force or effect until published in The Gazette; namely,--

(1.) the duties and powers of all officers appointed under this Ordi-

nance;

(2.) the remuneration, if any, to be paid for vaccination by a Public

Vaccinator and the time and place of vaccination; and

(3.) all such other matters not hereinbefore specifically mentioned

which may conduce to the better carrying out of this Ordinance.

6.—(1.) The parent or guardian of any child resident within the Col-

if the child is six months old or more, and has not been already successfully vaccinated, (proof of which successful vaccination may be
