17. During the year the P.P.I.B. also arranged television and radio programmes covering various aspects of Police work, which were designed to create a better understanding of the Force organization and role.
18. The Police Public Information Bureau filled a much wanted need in the field of Police Public Relations and it is felt that the public are now better informed about the Police role and its day-to-day activities. The existence of the Bureau also enables the Force to deal with the news media and Force publicity arrangements in a more efficient and co-ordinated manner.

19. His Excellency the Governor Sir David TRENCH, G.C.M.G., M.C., reviewed the Force at the Government Stadium
on 22nd December, 1968. His Excellency presented awards to eleven officers of the Regular Force and two officers of the Auxiliary Police Force.
