The management Committee of this Trust also awarded bursaries to 16 Form VI students, and grants to 26 children of police officers at Universities.

189. The Police Pakistani Primary School at Fanling continued to provide education for the children of Pakistani Rank and File stationed in the New Territories. Since opening in 1965 the school has operated successfully, and at 31st March, 1968 had 65 pupils.

190. Post primary education for children of the Rank and File who failed in the Secondary School Entrance Examination continued to be provided free of charge at Arsenal Street and Cheung Sha Wan evening schools. The former had 47 students and the latter 139. All expenses were met from the Police Children's Education Trust.

191. Picnics for children in police schools were held during the summer holidays and again proved very successful. Costs were met from the Police Welfare Fund.

192. The 14th annual Police Primary Schools Joint Sports Meeting was held on the 20th March, 1968, at the Police Sports Ground. It was attended by about 2,000 children, and the Commissioner presented the prizes.

SCOUTING

193. The Kowloon troop consisted of 65 scouts and 25 wolf cubs. The Hong Kong troop had 28 scouts, and the New Territories troop 15 scouts and 24 cubs. The Girl Guide Company had 13 members. During 1967-68 three Queen's Scouts Medals were awarded to scouts of the Kowloon troop and three medals were also awarded to scouts of the Hong Kong troop.

HEALTH, MEDICAL POSTS AND DENTAL CLINICS

194. Medical posts and dental clinics at Central, Canton Road, Wong Tai Sin and Cheung Sha Wan Rank and File married quarters dealt with cases of sickness and minor injuries.

195. 5,225 police officers were included in the annual X-ray survey of the Force and civilian staff. Thirty cases of active tuberculosis were discovered as compared with forty seven in the previous year.
